What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we store:

• Your email address. That is the only thing we ask you to type.
• How you found us: the campaign labels carried by the link you clicked, the site that referred you with its query string removed, and which page you landed on. If you typed our address in directly, this is recorded as "direct".
• What you told us about yourself, if you chose to: the optional one-tap answer after you sign up, which you can skip.
• Where you are in the queue — a status such as waiting or early access, and when it last changed.
• Your browser and operating system (for example "Safari / iPhone"), and an approximate city and country that Cloudflare derives from your IP address.
• If we later invite you to early access and you fill in the fuller form: your name for what you do, country, team size, how you work today, and optionally a phone number.

We do not store your IP address itself. It is used in transit to rate-limit the form, and appears in our hosting provider's request logs, which expire on their own schedule. We do not store your full browser user-agent string either — only the short summary above.

Why

To email you when a spot opens up, and to understand who is interested so we can build the right thing. That is the whole purpose — there is no advertising, no profiling, and no third-party analytics anywhere on this site.

The "how you found us" labels are first-party and exist to answer one question: which post or link actually brought people here, so we know where to keep showing up. They describe a link, not a person. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and they are never shared with an advertising network — there isn't one involved.

Who else sees it

Three processors, and nobody else:

• Cloudflare — hosts the form endpoint and the database the signups are stored in, and runs the anti-spam check on the form.
• Resend — delivers the confirmation email to you and the notification to us.
• Google — our team inbox is Gmail, so your submission also lands there as an email.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. It stores two entries in your browser's local storage, tala_attr_first and tala_attr_last, holding only the campaign and referrer labels described above — the first link that brought you here, and the most recent one.

Neither contains an identifier, an email address, or anything about where else you have been. They are readable only by this site and do not follow you anywhere. The first is kept at most 90 days and the second 30 minutes; clearing your site data removes both, and the form still works without them.

The anti-spam check on the form may store a short-lived token in your browser to remember that you already passed it.

How we decide who gets in

We are letting people in gradually rather than all at once. Everyone starts as waiting. When we open a round of testing we pick a group from the list and move them to early access, then on through testing and beta as TALA opens up.

Joining the waitlist does not automatically make you a tester, and we do not simply take whoever signed up first — we try to pick a mix, which is what the optional one-tap question helps with. Skipping it does not remove you from consideration.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until the waitlist is retired and we no longer need it — whichever comes first.

Your choices

Email hqtala.info@gmail.com and we will, without asking why:

• tell you exactly what we hold about you,
• correct it,
• send you a copy,
• or delete it entirely and take you off the list.

If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

If this changes materially before we launch, we will email everyone on the waitlist rather than quietly editing this page.
